We are pleased to announce that superfast fibre broadband services are now available in Capheaton

  • What is superfast broadband?

A superfast broadband connection provides a faster and more reliable internet connection, enabling multiple users within a home or business premise to surf the internet, download documents, music and video and stream high definition television – something that many people in Northumberland struggle to do with standard broadband.

  • Why should I upgrade?

There are many reasons why you may need superfast broadband in your home or business – click here to see some of the most common.

  • Can I access it?

The following postcodes are part of the superfast fibre broadband roll out in Capheaton:

– NE19 2AA
– NE19 2AB
– NE19 2AE
– NE19 2AD
– NE19 2AH
– NE19 2AJ
– NE19 2AQ
NB exact coverage can vary and not all properties within the postcode area may be able to connect.

  • How much is it?

One of the misconceptions is that superfast broadband will cost you a lot more, lots of people are able to benefit from the faster speeds without paying more, and in some cases end up paying less.

  • How do I upgrade?

The higher speeds will not happen automatically. To benefit you need to contact an internet service provider of your choice.

Services in Capheaton have be provided via a technology known as ‘fibre to the premise’. Please note that at present fibre to the premise services are not available from all internet providers. (Further details about this technology is available on our Frequently Asked Questions page).

If you live at one of the postcodes listed above and are struggling to place an order for superfast fibre broadband please get in touch with us via the contact us form and we will try and assist.

  • What’s happening nearby?

Superfast fibre broadband services are also available to Kirkharle, Kirkwhelpington, Scots Gap, Belsay and Bolam and will shortly be available in Bradford.
