We are pleased to announce that superfast fibre broadband services are now available in Swarland
- What is superfast broadband?
A superfast broadband connection provides a faster and more reliable internet connection, enabling multiple users within a home or business premise to surf the internet, download documents, music and video and stream high definition television – something that many people in Northumberland struggle to do with standard broadband.
- Why should I upgrade?
There are many reasons why you may need superfast broadband in your home or business – click here to see some of the most common.
- Can I access it?
The following areas are part of the superfast fibre broadband roll out in Swarland:
Cherry Tree Drive
Lady Hamilton Drive
The Old Tweedmill
NB exact coverage can vary and not all properties within a street or postcode area may be able to connect.
Please note that the service will not be available to properties in Old Swarland until 2017.
- How much is it?
One of the misconceptions is that superfast broadband will cost you a lot more, lots of people are able to benefit from the faster speeds without paying more, and in some cases end up paying less.
We have teamed up with Ofcom accredited, price comparison experts Cable to help guide you through the potential minefield of broadband suppliers and latest offers out there. Use the price checker to see just how little it might cost you, if it costs you at all!
- How do I upgrade?
The higher speeds will not happen automatically. To benefit you need to contact an internet service provider of your choice.
Services in Swarland have be provided via a technology known as ‘fibre to the cabinet’. (Further details about this technology is available on our Frequently Asked Questions page).
